“Knowledge proves useful,” she replied subtly. ”You have your reasons, but studying you’re group from before leads me to believe it has something to do with saving people I’m sure.”
“You are on the correct lines there, Miss.Jihl.” He replied, deciding to put the boomerang away- She didn’t seem like a threat, and he could easily take her down if need be.
“Miss…Jihl.” A smile played her face. ”Ever the respectful one now are we? And when you finally put your weapon away too. Here I’ve been completely harmless and yet you still think me a threat.”
“I know what you were like before, when the l’cie were around.” He narrowed his eyes, “You weren’t exactly working for the greater good.”
“Letting l’Cie run around so that they can turn into Cieth and possibly harm Cocoon is something I was trying to prevent. Though the decision of the Purge was not mine I still had to follow orders and carry it out. Protecting the citizens is the military’s job is it not. Sometimes there are risks.”
“I guess you have a point there…” He murmured, rubbing the back of his head; He wasn’t being very chivalrous, especially to a woman who may have changed, “My apologies.” He held out his hand, “My assumptions about you should not have been based on the past…”
“You have reason to assume so. I was acting on orders as well as my own personal drive to better you and your group. My blind loyalty got me killed….but also revived. I can’t say I don’t hold ill will towards you all, but there is also no reason for me to interfere with you.”
